Bonaire, our home base with its pristine reefs and perfect diving conditions has been the inspiration for Breathe-IT to search for the solution for a new application for MOBOTIX IP cameras: in salt water in depths of 15 meters (50 feet) and deeper. We have successfully developed a method to install a MOBOTIX M22 camera in an open water salt water environment at depths of 15 meters (50 feet) and more. For this we developed an installation protocol as well as special brackets to keep the camera safely at its location. For the underwater housing we use an U22M from independis information systems Canada (underwater housing), originally developed for shallow swimming pool purposes, that Breathe-IT has extensively tested for this newly developed purpose. We are proud to have proven that it is possible to use MOBOTIX IP security cameras under water for security as well as promotional, educational and research activities: the possibilities seem endless.
